Consideration Before Installation

Check the Gate

Ensure the gate is plumb, level, and swings freely without obstruction.
The mounting post must be a stable structure secured in concrete.
Repair or replace any worn or damaged hardware before installation.

Items Not Included but May Needed

24V Battery, Solar Panel and Solar Charge Controller: Use battery and solar panel as main power source.
PVC Conduit: Protects the wiring from the slave arm to the control board.
Connection Cable: May be needed for wired accessory installation.
Electric Gate Lock: Recommended in windy areas to prevent gate movement and damage.
Photocell Sensor: Adds a critical safety layer by detecting obstructions.

PW502 gate opener works well for the medium duty dual swing gate up to a maximum of 16ft. in length (correspondingly 100lbs. in weight) per gate leaf.
Suitable for the swing gate up to 550lbs. in weight (correspondingly 4ft. in length) per gate leaf.
Kindly note that the max. gate length capability is inversely proportional to the gate weight.

PW802 & PW502 & PW302 Dual Swing Gate Opener Power Mode 1

Power Mode 1 (Default Mode) – Use AC Electricity Only

Use the AC electricity to power the system.
Recommended where AC electricity is accessible and stable.
The DPS180-U Power Supply is plugged into an 100-240VAC 50Hz/60Hz outlet and delivers 24VDC to power the system directly.
Release the clutch and open the gate manually in case of power outage.
Note: DPS180-U can NOT connect with battery or solar panel.

Power Mode 2 – By AC Electricity and Back-up Batteries

Batteries as back-up power source, use the AC electricity to charge the batteries (UPS01 Uninterrupted Power Supply is NOT included).

For AC power interruptions under 8 hours daily, a minimum 24VDC 5Ah automotive/marine battery is sufficient.
TOPENS UPS01 Uninterrupted Power Supply is sold separately.

I've had enough time to use and understand the function of the Topens PW 502 electric duel swing gate opener. Adjustments inside the control box were basic and easy to set. I've been using the gate opener for about a year and nothing has failed to perform. The hardware is heavy duty and durable. As far as customer service, all I have is good things to say. Customer service has responded to my emails quickly and all within a day. I am pleased with the product and customer service. For this reason I give Topens 5 stars. Way to go customer service!

Easy to install. Manual installation is easy to read and understand… The arms are very strong. Our gate is 12’ft and it moves it with no problem.

T opens IPW 502 Gate Opener

Very pleased with the gate and Topens Customer Support Team. Only issue with gate required fine tuning the amount of (force adjustment) required to have the gate stop at the required angles. After connecting with support team they outlined simple steps to adjust the opening and closing within the control unit. Would recommend this product to anyone interested in installing their own gate!

TOPENS PW502 Dual Swing Gate Opener

These powerhouse gate openers work well in all weather conditions and are easy to maintain. It is a bit involved to initially set up the gate system, but when these guys are installed, you won't have an issue.
