The TOPENS brand was established in the 1990s. The founder Mike was an engineer working in a machinery plant. His dear mother, a 75-year-old woman, lived alone in the suburbs. Every weekend, the weak lady eagerly waited on the slope and welcomed her son happily. But the gate of the yard was so heavy that she had to take a lot of effort and time to open. Mike hurriedly got out of his car and helped his mom open the gate together.
Looking at the mother's aging body, Mike thought, how difficult if his mom pushed the gate alone when he was not here? How happier she would be if she can control the gate just in the house? At that time, all the electric gate operators were wheeled type and only suitable for a flat ground. Therefore, Mike decided to use his expertise to design an automatic gate opener specially for his mother, which could perfectly adapt to different surface conditions. After continuous improvement and optimization, a new type of gate opener was created and named "TOPENS", meaning the TOP gate OPENERS ever since.
