The TOPENS TC196 Tuya WiFi Remote Control is a smart device that enables remote operation of gate openers via the Tuya Smart app. A key feature of this device is the ability to share control access with other users. This guide explains how to share your TC196 with others and how to remove shared users when needed.
Sharing the TC196 WiFi Remote Control
To share your TC196 device with another user, follow these steps:
1. Open the Tuya Smart app and log in to your account.
2. Tap the TC196 WiFi remote control from your device list to open the main control interface.
3. Tap the settings icon (located in the upper-right corner of the screen) to access the device settings menu.

4. Select “Share Device”, then tap “Add”.

5. Enter the Tuya Smart account information (email or phone number) of the person you want to share the device with, then tap “Done”. The device will now be shared with the selected user.

Important Notes:
- Only the master account (the account that initially added the device) can share the controller.
- The recipient must:
- Have the Tuya Smart app installed;
- Be registered with a valid Tuya account;
- A maximum of 40 users can be granted access to a single TC196 controller.
- Shared users have limited access — they can operate the gate opener but cannot modify settings or re-share the device.
- The master account can remove any shared user at any time to revoke access.
Removing a Shared User
To revoke access for a shared user:
1. Go to the “Share Device” section in the device settings.
2. Select the account you want to remove, swipe left, and then tap “Delete”.

3. Confirm by selecting “Delete” again. The selected user will be removed immediately and will no longer have access to the device.

By following these steps, you can easily manage who has access to your TOPENS TC196 WiFi Remote Control. Always share responsibly to ensure the security and proper functioning of your gate system.
