Automatic gate openers have become increasingly popular for their convenience and security benefits across various settings, including residential, commercial, courtyard, farm and ranch environments. However, ensuring that these systems are equipped with essential safety features is crucial for improving safety and preventing accidents and injuries. Below, we will explore the key safety features integrated into TOPENS automatic gate openers.
1. Security Code Technology:
TOPENS employs advanced security code technology to prevent interception or duplication of remote control signals. Only authorized TOPENS remotes and wireless accessories can operate the gate opener, enhancing security and preventing unauthorized access.2. Auto-Close Feature:
Automatically closes the gate after a set period of time, preventing the gate from being left open unintentionally and reducing the risk of unauthorized access or accidents.
3. Soft Start & Soft Stop:
These features protect the motor and prolong its lifespan. Soft Start prevents motor damage from sudden starts, while Soft Stop reduces the impact on the opener's mechanical structure when the motor stops abruptly.
Note: Available for TOPENS swing gate openers and sliding gate openers with DC motors.
4. Anti-Entrapment Feature:
With its inherent entrapment protection system, the opener swiftly detects any obstructions in the gate's path, automatically reversing or stopping the gate's movement to prevent objects or individuals from being trapped. This feature is especially crucial in areas with high traffic or where children and pets frequent. Additionally, wire terminals are provided for the optional connection of a photoelectric sensor, significantly reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring the safe operation of the gate.
Note: TOPENS CK2500/CK2600/RK2600T sliding gate operators do not have an inherent entrapment protection system; they can only reverse in case of obstruction during gate closing when used with the included TC102 infrared gate sensor.
5. Stall Force:
Adjusts obstruction sensitivity during gate operation. Higher stall force levels result in lower sensitivity, making it less likely for objects to be detected by the control board. Conversely, lower stall force levels allow the gate to easily stop/reverse during movement. Therefore, you should adjust it according to your specific needs.
Note: The stall force of TOPENS CK2500/CK2600/RK2600T sliding gate openers is not adjustable.
6. Manual Release:
Equipped with separate emergency release keys, this feature allows manual operation of the gate in the event of a power outage or malfunction. It guarantees instant accessibility during emergencies when the automatic opener is not functional.
Note: The availability of the manual release option varies by model; please refer to the user manual for specific information.
7. Adjustable Limit:
Allows users to control and customize the opening and closing positions of the gate, providing flexibility and precision in gate operation.
8. Max Motor Running Time (MRT):
Prevents motor overwork, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.
In addition to these features, TOPENS also offers a number of safety gate opener accessories, including the TC102 Photo Eye Beam Sensor, TRF3 Reflection Photocell Sensor, ET24 Electric Gate Lock, and JD Warning Light for comprehensive safety coverage.
Regular inspection and maintenance of these safety enhancements are paramount for a flawless operating experience.
