I am pleased with the solar, wireless nature of the gate opener. The transmission and reception of the wireless message appears to be strong and long range ( at least 100 yards from the gate). One of the solar panels came with the glass cracked but still generated electricity.

After several neighbors installed a different brand of operator and have had lots of trouble with them and finding little or no customer support for their problems, I did a search for another, highly rated operator and found Topens. This package includes the heavy duty operator, the hardware needed for installation, two large solar panels with charge controller, two-4 button remotes, the power supply box and the control panel box and the very clear instruction manual. It is rated for gates up to 18’ and easily opens my 16’ gate. It is programmable to auto close, soft close and the speed of closing can be adjusted as well. It was very simple to wire to the control box and after a few fine tuning adjustments has worked flawlessly. The system is 24V so I purchased two-12 volt batteries. to house the two compact batteries and it works great.The two solar panels included keep these batteries charged very well, even in cloudy, winter weather. The customer support from Topens is unsurpassed. I can send an email and my personal representative, Laura, has replied with very clear instructions within 24 hours, every time. I highly recommend this Topens operator and the excellent customer support I received from this company.

We bought the single Topens gate opener almost a year ago and for some reason it went out. I contacted the Customer Service Dept and i must say this is the best Customer Service dept that i have the pleasure of dealing with. They were very respectful and help me thur the problem and trouble shooting the problem for almost two weeks Shelley was the Customer Service Rep helping me. she never gave up unlit it was fixed and we were back on our feet with it working. We are both elderly and needed this fix to drive in and out our gate with out getting out in the cold weather. I cannot thank Shelley and the whole customer Service team. I would buy and recommend this product to anyone and they have the worlds best customer Service.

I installed this solar single arm opener about 2 weeks ago and I have to say, it’s great. Products come well packaged and every piece was more ridged than I expected. System has been working flawlessly since I installed. Watch the videos on YouTube before you start and installation is very easy. I installed this onto 6x6 posts with a 16’ utility gate from tractor supply at the end of my driveway. I think it looks great and does exactly what I needed for a reasonable price. The only thing I would change about this whole set is the mount on the solar panels. I wish it came with a pole that you could pivot the panels on instead of a flat surface mount bracket. No big deal I just cut a piece of 4x4 to the angle I needed and mounted the angled 4x4 to the 6x6 post before installing the solar bracket. The wiring was easy and the limit switch’s/potentiometers were easy to adjust for proper operation (watch the videos on YouTube). I also purchased their gate lock and 2 additional wireless keypads. Gate lock works great but I did have to add some additional wire to the lock as the lock only comes with a little over 16’ of wire. I used extra wire I cut off from other parts of this install. Just used butt connectors and heat shrink to extend the wire. The 1 code, 6 digit wireless keypads are a lot heavier duty feeling then they look on the website. They are made of metal and they are solid. They claim they only work from the side that the control board is mounted on but I have one on each side that are setback far enough for a vehicle to pull up and not get hit by the gate. They work better than I expected as well. I would make sure you have a couple of items before you start this install. I just went to harbor freight and bought a couple of cheap kits. I needed extra nuts and bolt (because of the way I mounted certain pieces) extra wire terminal ends and some heat shrink tubing in varied sizes. The gate takes about 20 seconds to open and close. It does seem to be a little slow but it is so smooth that it makes up for it. Operation is nice and quiet as well. The included key fobs work from very far away. I click when I turn down my road and you can just start to see the gate (about 250 yards) and the gate is fully opened before I pull up to it. I did however pull the antenna wire out of the box through one of the weather tight seals for better range before I ever tried how far away they would work. In the pictures you can see I used a drop resistant storage case from harbor freight to mount my batteries in. This has worked very well and is weather tight. All in all I highly recommend this product.
